Clapstick are used during ceremonies corroborees, that provides the dancer a rhythmic movements. Along with chants to keep a beat. It is often played by both Male and Female. This is an instrument that accompanies them, while they are singing and chanting. The clapstick are played along side of the didgeridoo, while the didgeridoo is blown.
